Jo’s birthday!

It was Jo’s 31st belated 30th birthday last week, and we held a party at home.

We set-up the tarp in the backyard .. many hands make light work!

Two travelling jugglers provided the entertainment for the afternoon.

Cutting the cake..

Short work was made of a home made pinata, each strike spraying lollies in every direction.

Happy Birthday to Hayley

It was Hayley’s (of Geoff and Hayley fame – well, she kinda sneaks a post or two in on the site) birthday yesterday and we had Geoff and Hayley over for dinner, Las Vegas and Inspector Rex (also known as Kommissar Rex). On the menu was marinated pork ribs, Asian greens and rice. We had chocolate ripple cake (courtesy of Hales) and Peters Rocky Road Drumsticks (they’re new) for dessert. Yummo!

Yummy ribs and veges for dinner! This is Geoff’s plate…
The birthday cake, complete with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle candle :) How cool does it look?

Lunch with the Thomases

Yesterday, we zipped into the City to have lunch with Gerrod and Kristy who are over here for a short holiday, all the way from N.Y. We brought our digital camera to take photos…but forgot to take it out in the excitement of seeing them! Even when G whipped out his digital SLR we still forgot! You’ll have to check their site and see if they’ve got pics up of the occasion.

Lunch was spent eating and talking and talking and eating and in the case of Gerrod and Kristy, also playing with Catherine. There was a moment when KJ decided to take Catherine for a “walk” and G yelled out for her to run, but I think he was joking. I’m sure they wouldn’t really steal her away! Would they?!

Lunch was a happy time today

Catherine was a happy girl during lunch today!

A beautiful smile on a beautiful girl Looking cheeky!
Another happy smile.

Dinner with Aunty Maggie

We recently had dinner at Scott’s sister’s place where Catherine was introduced to the delights of bangles, courtesty of Aunty Maggie! She even got to take one home with her (the pink one)!

All in all, a great evening and food wasn’t bad either :)

Cuddling a bunny, courtesy of Aunty Maggie’s flatmate!

“So anyway, I was saying that I…”

She just couldn’t take her eyes off her bangles!

We enjoyed the evening with Aunty Maggie at her new house!

Catherine’s first laptop!

We had to do it…she was just so interested in Mummy and Daddy’s laptops that we thought the safest thing to do would be to buy her her own…

As you can see, she was very happy with it! She is her father’s daughter!
