Shower Shock Caffeinated Soap – Now my morning routine is complete

I am not a morning person. I wonder whether Shower Shock Caffeinated Soap might help me feel refreshed and invigorated??

Tired of waking up and having to wait for your morning java to brew? Are you one of those groggy early morning types that just needs that extra kick? Know any programmers who don’t regularly bathe and need some special motivation? Introducing Shower Shock, the original and world’s first caffeinated soap from ThinkGeek.

Electronic scrapbooking!

Check out Scrapblog, it looks quite nifty.

Latest pic of Carpenter baby 2

We had an ultrasound scan yesterday morning to check the placental site as when we had our 18-20 week scan, it was low-lying which meant that if it didn’t move by this time, there may have been slight complications when it came time to give birth. Anyway, to cut a long story short, it’s all good :) The bonus is that this baby is more than likely going to be smaller than what Catherine was when she was born – Yay for me! They gave us a 3D pic of the baby’s face to take away with us and here it is!

Catherine’s new room

7 weeks and a couple of days to go and I’m nesting furiously! On the weekend I made Scotty come shopping with me to get Catherine’s new furniture. We ended up buying some storage containers and the like from IKEA and a toddler bed from BabyCo. We also bought a new cot mattress from BabyCo because Catherine was taking hers with her into the toddler bed. We figured it’d be better for her to take the mattress that she’s been jumping on with her :)

Here are the goodies we bought, the process of assembly and the finished products!

Catherine helped to put her new bed together.

Finished! The furniture all put together and room set up.

Goodnight Catherine!

Catherine slept fairly well albeit upside down, only waking up once at 4:30am. She was a bit disorientated and was crying but I went in and gave her a cuddle, told her she was in her new bed and room, settled her back down, patted her a few times and then left. She went back to sleep until 8am this morning. So, the transfer has been a success – so far!

A surprise visitor

I had a surprise visitor last week – the parcel delivery guy! I was a bit puzzled as I know I hadn’t ordered anything :) so I thought that maybe Scotty had a splurge on Amazon without warning me that a package would be arriving. To my surprise, it was a package from Gerrod and Kristy!

I noticed it was a toy and thought, “How nice! They sent a birthday present to Catherine!”

How cute!

Yay! It’s addressed to Scott and me too! I therefore have justification for opening it (Catherine was having her nap at the time!) without either of the other two there! Then I laughed – such a nerdy card :P

It’s a what?

Sorry? It’s a *luxury* duck?

Oooohhhhhh…look at all these other ones you can get!!!

The Super Star Duck!!!!! How very cool!

Well, the verdict is that Catherine loves it – she had to have breakfast with it the other day and carried it around the house with her – and I want to collect the rest of them………….

Thank you Gerrod and Kristy!!!

Catherine’s 2nd birthday party!

We had a few people over for Catherine’s 2nd birthday party on the 24th (yeah, I’m slack when it comes to blogging consistently!). Here’s a few snapshots of the evening:
