Okay, I was slack…

…so here’s Alexandra at 2 weeks of age!

Here’s Alexandra at 1 week of age

Well, at this time last week it was my birthday and we were at the hospital under observation! Alexandra wasn’t born yet and although my waters had broken and I had only slight contractions, she would make an appearance in under 8 hours. Here are the stats for those who put in a guess:

Gender: Female
Length: 50cm
Weight: 3075g/6lb 12oz
Head Circumference: 33cm
Date of Birth: 18/05/2007
Time of Birth: 19:16/7:16pm

Will post some photos tonight if I’m not too slack :)

New addition to the family!

Alexandra Grace Carpenter, born 18th of May and weighing 3075 grams (6lbs 12oz)! Here are some pics the eventful day..

Mum, getting ready to go. She looks a little nervous!

Catherine about to dropped off at the Fook’s place.

The birthing suite (or labour ward in old skool speak).

Jo not looking too worried.

Why Jo really wanted a baby – so she wouldn’t have to cook meals for few days..

Jo and our lovely midwife Maree.

And here is Alexandra!

Waving!

Waving again while wearing her cool little red beanie.

One week to go!

There’s one week to go before Carpenter baby vII is supposed to make an appearance. I’m hoping he/she comes early, more specifically this Friday (18th May) because it’ll be a birthday present to myself (and a birthday present for my mum!) :D

Would anyone like to take a punt at some stats for Carpenter baby vII and when it’ll make an appearance?

We bought a car

With Carpenter baby vII due to make an appearance fairly soon, we’ve bitten the bullet and decided to buy a family car and let’s face it, you can’t get much more “family” than a Holden Commodore Acclaim station wagon! We picked up the car on Saturday and have already put about 350 odd kms on it (Scott finally let me drive in on Sunday night to church)!

It’s “my” car, obviously because I’ll have 2 kids to transport here, there and everywhere and Scotty gets my little Pulsar as we traded his little vroom vroom in. Basically we got a white automatic to replace the white automatic. Scott seems to enjoy driving my car – probably because it is much more zippy than his car was even though they were basically the same. The biggest difference between his old car and mine is that his was an auto and mine’s a manual.

So now I’m the owner of 2 cars and Scott gets to borrow one of them to drive to work :D

The baby capsule gets installed at 1:15pm today by the Qld Ambulance Service so really, the baby can make an appearance anytime from then – and this afternoon would be great :D

As I keep saying to people, I just want to be able to eat again!
